Angel Barbara was created in memory of Barbara Underwood, who was a great influence on my lacemaking and designing. She was a very special teacher and touched many lives.
I wanted to reflect her wealth of knowledge in Thomas Lester designs using the complexity of as many features as possible in an advanced design. This design is made using Egyptian cotton 100/2, a very fine thread, but is in keeping with the fineness of much Thomas Lester lace, and allows much more detail in a very small area.
