Ollie and Friends is a fun design to make, to celebrate the 40 years of swimathon and all the fundraising.
I designed the pattern to reflect that this year I am doing the swim at an organised event rather than at my gym pool, and so for me, it will be swimming with others for the first time with a focused purpose.
The design uses approximately 70 pairs in Finca 60 and worker pairs for each of the 'friends' in Madeira metallic 40. (alternative fine metallic threads would also work)
The Ready to work pattern will donate £5 to the two Swimathon charities - Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie Nurses. Donations can be tracked in my Just Giving page - https://jg.swimathon.org/fundraising/louisewest-1768560975868
"Ready to Work" is a pattern that is printed onto pricking card and the holes made in it by a computer controlled laser process, ensuring an accurate pattern. This process also saves time, meaning you can get on to the making of the lace much quicker. The pack includes the pattern sheet also.
