This bookmark was originally designed and made available to members of the Nottinghamshire Bobbin
Lace Society for their Golden Anniversary banner project, and proved very popular with members and so
now offered for general sale.
For the original the gimp used was a thick gold gimp to reflect the Golden (50th) anniversary of the
society, but here it is shown worked with a pink perle 12 gimp for the flower and a green cotton perle 8 for
the leaf outline. The main thread is Presencia Finca 60, and it uses approximately 40 pairs.
"Ready to Work" is a pattern that is printed onto pricking card and the holes made in it by a computer controlled laser process, ensuring an accurate pattern. This process also saves time, meaning you can get on to the making of the lace much quicker.
